We collect only the information needed for the purpose explained at the time of collection.

- Coordinate volunteers.
- Plan, deliver, monitor, and improve programmes.
- Protect children and vulnerable adults.
- Maintain accurate records for audit, reporting, and legal compliance.
- Improve our website and communications.
4. Data Protection Principles
Ramah commits to:
- Collecting information fairly and transparently.
- Using information only for clear and lawful purposes.
- Keeping information accurate and up to date where practical.
- Limiting access to people who need it for their role.
- Storing information securely.
- Retaining information only as long as required for programme, legal, audit, or safeguarding purposes.

5. Children and Vulnerable People
We take extra care with information about children and vulnerable adults. Under Ghana's Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843), personal data relating to children is classified as special personal data and receives heightened protection.
Child-related information, images, videos, and stories are collected only with written guardian consent and safeguarding review. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website without appropriate consent.
6. Photos, Videos, and Stories
Participation in a programme does not automatically mean a person has consented to be photographed, filmed, or publicly named. Photo, video, and story use requires separate written consent. People may decline media consent without losing access to support.
7. Payments and Third-Party Services
Where donations are processed through a payment provider, payment card details are handled by that provider and are not stored by Ramah's website. We may use trusted service providers for payment processing, email delivery, analytics, hosting, and operational systems. We share only the information needed for those services.
8. Cookies and Analytics
Our website may use cookies and analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site and to improve the experience. Visitors may manage cookie preferences through browser settings or the website cookie banner where available.
9. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information only where necessary with:
- Service providers helping us operate securely.
- Payment processors.
- Professional advisers or auditors.
- Regulators or legal authorities where required by law.
- Programme partners where sharing is necessary, consented to, and appropriate.

We keep information only for as long as necessary. Donation and financial records may be retained for legal, tax, and audit purposes. Safeguarding and consent records may be retained longer where necessary to protect beneficiaries and the Foundation.
